Hi, I’m Allis.

I’m a Nashville native sharing sharing a home here with my husband, Dave. I started Simply Allis in 2011 while I was in nursing school. Nursing school was stressful and kept me very busy, but I knew that I needed to find time to be creative and have community. Creativity and community came in many forms during school and one of them was this blog. I enjoyed being able to bake, be crafty, and continue to work on improving my photography through this blog. I also loved being able to connect with other bloggers both online and in my city. Now that I have been in the working world for a little while, I have discovered that the need to have a creative outlet is still very present. Some years I have blogged more than others, but I enjoy being able to come back to this blog to write and connecting with others through it. This is a place for me to talk about my travels, share new recipes, share my craft projects, and document some of my daily life. Read along and please say hello. I would love to meet you.
