Baked French Toast

For Father’s Day I made baked french toast.  This recipe has become a family favorite. Here are a few pictures along with the recipe at the end.

Just out of the oven.

The recipe came from Giada de Laurentiis of the Food Network. I changed it slightly. You can find the recipe here.

(I leave out the blueberries and lemon zest– some reviews said that they make it too soggy. I also use a 16oz loaf of french bread instead of the 8oz listed.)

Enjoy! Happy Father’s Day!

  1. Cool post! Really like your photos, and that you say that you have used a Food Network recipe but changed it slightly, we like to do that too!

Especially love the photo with the food on the beautiful blue and white plates. That red strawberry really makes the colours pop, you captured it so well!

    • Thank you! I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed the post. I appreciate your thoughts on the photo. Taking the pictures is one of my favorite parts of the process!
